True friends are great riches.
Filippa and Charis have been friends for many years. Charis is ‘oddmum’ to Filippa’s eldest child, and over the years they have been through a lot together. When lockdown was announced and permission given for two households to ‘bubble’, they did more than bubble; they clung. As they walked the paths, fields (and sometimes roads) of West Sussex, they talked about everything, as close friends do, and when Filippa started sounding Charis out about The Kindness Cooperation, Charis listened. And they talked and talked and talked. Filippa started writing down her ideas. With her imagination and determination sparked, she found inspiration and signs almost everywhere, all leading to the set-up of a non-profit rooted in kindness. Looking for trusted, lovely people, she asked Andy and Brett to come on-board very early on too, which they were delighted to do, and the seed became an acorn became reality.
